Verified Reviewer |Extended warranty and customer service response
I purchased 2021 Street Glide Special in Feb. 2021 and love the bike and have had Avalanche Harley in Denver Co do all the performance upgrades and service to stay in compliance of my ESP (extended service plan).
In July 2023 the rear pulley came apart due to defective part. They covered the rear pulley but I was told the belt was to be replaced and primary was inspected and parts replaced but wasn't covered due to be considered a wear item. I inquired the belt would not have needed replaced and primary work done if it wasn't for rear pulley defect.
I basically got told nothing can be done by ESP customer service. I have requested phone calls and have tried getting a response from Harley Davidson and of course they hide behind their corporate world and do not respond to customers so I"m out $1094.21.

I just bought a 2001 Harley Davidson ultra classic from finger lakes Harley Davidson in New York and I bought it on 2/14/2024 and today I went out in the garage because its winter and I cant ride it. I bought it for my stepson and I started it up for him to listen to it and it runs for a few minutes but then it stalls out because the idle is low.
I called the Harley Davidson in Syracuse New York, which is close to me, its called Performance and I asked him if they could look at it under the 30 day warranty and they said that they could not.
I was under the impression that all Harley Davidson stores would cover other Harley Davidsons and he said no so I gotta take the bike all the way down south , in the winter back down to where I bought it hope you can help me. For 120 years every other motorcycle company has tried to be like Harley and failed. But now Harley decided to make there bikes look like other bikes.why ?the new bikes are just a copy of what other bikes look like.the tanks ,fairings and fenders are just a copy of others .
We all looked to drop the bikes ,put dropped bags on them to look low and cool like a Harley should. The new bags look like two suitcases strapped to the sides just like other bikes. And all this technology is a joke . Who ever came up with the idea of mounting a tv screen on the bike with all of your necessary gauges on it so when the screen goes black and it will ,you have no necessary equipment to let you know speed gas or any other function on the bikes.
And all those stupid controls on the handlebars is just an accident waiting to happen. Wake up before you get people in accidents playing with the controls instead of watching the road because we have enough idiots driving on the roads distracted by technology.
Go back to basics and the Harley way. These are motorcycles not video games that if you make a mistake you can start over again

Problem with dealership
I just purchased a 2023 road glide limited. From Rockstar Harley in Fort Meyers FL last week.I see Harley offers 1.99 % on new Harleys.
I financed through The Dealer. The interest rate is 14.9%. I have a 840 credit score and put $15000.00 down. Why am I not eligible for the Harley financing?
I asked the dealer but they said they dont know why. I feel that I have been taken advantage of. Im not sure I can go into a Harley dealership and not be angry. I am very disappointed in Harley, now I have to refinance it through my bank to reduce my rate.
This is no way to treat a customer who currently has 3 Harleys,( Cvo limited, Heritage soft tail, and a road glide).
I have had a total of 11 Harleys and never felt like Harley ripped me off before. Lenard vandenhandel.

I love the bike, but hate the dealer, as it is all about the money, not the customer.
This does not seem right, as it is basically a new bile being sold by a dealer as new.
What kind of business removes a new warranty on a basically new bike? not even a short-term warranty. This appears to be a very bad precedent for such a respectful company.
It appears to be taking advantage of the customer where they now want to sell a high price careful of dealers like this one in Jacksonville, FLB extended warranty. I thought Harley Davidson had a warranty on all the bike they sell and with only 457 miles why not this one.
- Keeping a great customer who has owned a number of hd vehicles

i have email. you and you wont get back to me you dont stand behind your name wont fix problems ilike i said you make people thank that harleys bike are all american so people would buy them but there not all american made these parts from japan thats the reason we buying one that used and we are paiding 30,000 and the price was mart 15,000 you got us at 28% we could buy a new one for that price off than we have problems with it take it to harley davidson to get check out they want 600.00 to fix it plus labor and get it back worst now it wont start you should do something about it stand behind your name it should be fix for free all the money we put out for a used bike

my boyfriend is buying this bike 1st of all its not all american like it says that why we bought it 2nd we are paying 30,000 for a 15,000 bike has 28% intress we didnt know they wanted us to buy it and last we had for allmost 4 years and it wont start one got battery and took it to harley davidson in lancaster in ca they said it was bcm they wanted 600.00 plus labor it was running fine now wont start at all something they did is this the way harley works want you to buy so they make money says its all american and its not lies i thank they should fix for free sense we are paying 30,000 for a 15,000 bike that wont start you should do something about it i thought harley was a good bussiness this is not wright

I bought a brand new 2023 Harley Davidson Ultra Ltd in March 2023 with blacked out metal, mufflers, etc. (no chrome).
In July I've noticed a fading spot inside one of the mufflers, where visually could be noticed.
I went to the dealership and after a couple of weeks I got a call informing that Harley Davidson denied the claim because it was cosmetic and not impacting the functionality of the bike.
The bike is under warranty and although it is cosmetic, i bought a blacked out bike and if the metal is showing, it is a quality issue and needs to be repaired.
I called Harley Davidson and they told me the same and said that that was nothing that they can do.
After looking at the pictures I also noticed the rust metal inside the muffler. A 3 month old bike with rust???
Unacceptable answer.
They were quick to take my cash, and quick to deny my claim.
Again, I bought a blacked out bike and there is a gray metal showing inside the muffler.

Preferred solution: Compensation for my trouble and an acknowledgement of their responsibilities.

Preferred solution: a new bike are our bike fixed for free
Real bad experience with the fort smith Arkansas Harley place.
Bought a bike had them do a bunch of after market stuff. Its been 3 months still havent even seen the bike.
The paper work just came in on my bike December 3 and it was notorized on October the 5 and the paper work is wrong so the tag agent told me to get it fixed. Im already into over a month of late fees and cant even get them to call me back. And the worse thing I still dont have my bike. And a dealer told me yesterday I can get a 2024 for three thousand cheaper than I gave for my 2023 that I havent even got yet.
Tried getting ahold of someone at Harley Davidson and the company wont call me back. So I guess now I have to hire an attorney to get my money back.
