Harley Davidson complaint by Butters357
I'm a disabled veteran who was treated horribly by the west palm beach harley davidson. after catching her in the service dept in 3 different lie's, I was forced to sit there for over 5 hours while they showed me exactly how they treat veterans. I have my left ribs replaced by fiberglass, and I deal with considerable pain daily. I know that she lied because I contacted peterson's harley davidson in miami and they were very honest and very forthwright. All I wanted was a backrest and luggage rack installed, along with a service. ( I'm to hurt to do it myself ) Her first quote was over 800.00 Parts were 319.80, and service was 140.00. That's 460.00 and her quote was over 800.00. She lied about a 20% discount, she lied about taking off the rear wheel, belt ect....and she lied about the labor charge's involved. Peterson's harley of miami told me that the labor for installing the backrest and rack was 1hr, and it was no big deal. ( don't have to remove wheel, belt ect...) I truly don't understand any of this. Is this how everyone is being treated, or just the veterans, or just the disabled veterans? I can't believe how humiliated I was. I can't believe how much she lied to me. I can't believe how long she made me sit there so she could prove how much pull she had. laughing , giggling, lying about what she said. I just wanted a backrest and rack installed. I did'nt want to deal with all this. she did'nt even install the recalled part in the master cylinder. Well, I guess she showed me, huh? What's next ? A wreck? Is there anyone out there from H.O.G., or harley davidson that can help me? I asked for her card and was told by her boss that they could not find one. I also asked for her last name and he said he could not remember it. I don't know who to call, or who to write. I hope someone who care's about this with some kind of pull not only reads this, but , can let someone from harley know how disabled veterans are being treated in west palm beach. ( it's like a bad dream ) Nothing say's america like harley-davidson, I truly believe that, exspecially after speaking to peggy, bob, and marty, at petersons h-d of miami. They were honest, professional, and very courtious. I can't believe they work for the same company. ( I guess i've got to ride two hours each way to miami from now on) It's a sad state of affairs when a disabled veteran has to ride 4 hrs in pain to avoid any further humilliation, and aggravation. ALL I WANTED WAS A BACKREST AND RACK INSTALLED, PERIOD. After the way I was treated in the WEST PALM BEACH HARLEY DAVIDSON, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to ANYONE. I highly suggest you take your business to any other harley. ( I can however, HIGHLY RECOMMEND PETERSON'S HARLEY-DAVIDSON OF MIAMI. ) They are truly decent americans, and are an asset to the harley-davidson company.....I can't believe that harley-davidson knowingly allows this kind of behavior towards any of their customers. I believe if they knew that there customers were being treated this way, they would resolve this problem. ( that's why I'm writing this ) I hope someone can speak up for the veterans in palm beach county. ( They have spoke up for you and your freedoms) GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND HARLEY-DAVIDSON. LIVE FREE, RIDE FREE. Anyone who can help me with this problem, PLEASE, call 561-588-7578 and let me know who I can contact. Thank you, sincerly.............P.C.

Man up and quit cryin, I understand they gave you bad customer service, but the disabled vetern crap is way over the top. Honor your brothers and sisters, many missing limbs, and quit wimpering. Either that or sell your Harley and buy a Honda

Palm Beach are a disgrace to the H-D brand, their owner is an arrogant a$$. Phil Peterson's H-D will treat you right.

I bought a bike over a year ago from Peterson's and so far have had good luck from them. No "real" complaints. Sometimes I have to wait a little longer than they promise when I have my bike worked on, but hey, stuff happens.
