Outpost Harley Davidson in Pueblo Co

WOW.... Here is an UPDATE.

i just met with the Owner of Outpost Harley davidson to try and work out the issue. Instead he said " I burned bridges up and down the front range" and then his son "THE EROGANT ONE" said I burned bridges at places I did not even have services at. When it all came out the real reason they don't want to fix the WARRANTY items is because I DID NOT BUY THE BIKE FROM THEM. They also stated that "I DID NOT BUY MY WIFES BIKE FROM THEM" They are right, I was in Wisconsin with my wife at her brothers, he was riding and we (my wife and I) had no bike so we went and bought one.

They are mad because I did not call to see if they had one??? How would that have helped me in Wisconsin??? Then they are mad that I DID NOT buy this 2008 from them even though 1) they did not have one in stock the day I was looking because I called Mike and asked. and 2) they did NOT want to take my other bike in on trade.

SO... WHO'S fault is it that I did not buy one of these 2 from them.. Even though I bought 2 others (alot less expensive but still bought there) and have sent many people there but as they mentioned about one friend who is DEAD now " we only made $300 on him because we just financed a bike he bought somewhere else"....They have an F rating from the BBB and I was told that is because they DONT CARE ABOUT THE BBB they are a scam, and don't deal with them. WOW I know it takes money coming in to keep things going but WOW what a response...

BEWARE BUY A BIKE FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THE DEALERSHIP MAY NOT WANT TO WORK ON IT.. Outpost has proved that all the way to the top a QUOTE FROM THE OWNER " I OWN THIS SHOP AND HARLEY CAN NOT TELL ME WHAT I HAVE TO WORK ON" Buyers BEWARE.. Harley has gone to dealers doing what they want... I STILL have a WARRANTIED BIKE with warranty issues that ARE NOT fixed..

END OF STORY BAD BUSINESS BAD COMPANY... this is all fact just happened at 4:32pm tonight, but guaranteed they will lie about it and say it is not true since I was alone and the FATHER AND SON were there......

I'm really not sure how this dealer is still in business. I have several friends that took thier new bikes in that WERE purchased there and the Suputos would not even take the warranty work.

I'm amazed... corporate pays the service techs and the dealership so why do these arogant people continue to burn bridges with thier customers?

This is the only dealership that I simply refuse to ever spend a penny of my money in. Shame on you guys! I know you had several McDonalds in Detroit...

maybe you should go back to flipping burgers!!!!! :(

Absolutely the worst service department that anywhere. I had an accident in the area and Outpost was the closest dealer.

The insurance worked with the service department and after waiting 45 days for a two hour estimate, the estimate was provided as $10,600. After speaking with Chris, the service manager, and watching them turn away folks that needed service even though there was only 5 jobs per day, folks had to wait a week. 3 oil changes, one rear tire change and a 25K check…..1/2 day for one person….Outpost was totally booked for the entire day. They wouldn’t help one guy that was traveling with his simple problem.

It was quite apparent that the service department has no ability to provide a complete estimate nor repair my bike, so I loaded my bike, after having to ask for help, and headed home. 3 days later my insurance company received an updated or real estimate and it was an additional $6000 above the Outpost estimate.

I will never stop at outpost under any circumstances. They are not professional, courteous…..well they are just not friendly and definitely not helpful…..steer clear of this shop.

How did you lose 32k?

Told you that their time was short. Shovel *** to your customers, and you won't be in business too long.

When the Nicholson Bros. sold the store to the current Doosh-Bag owner, the writing was on the wall.

I understand this store 'merged' with Brighton, so don't do business with them, either.

Too bad, too, cuz at one time, I actually liked the place, but that only lasted for a short period. Like right after they got my money !!!!

Let's be realistic..When have you EVER walked into a Harley dealer and felt good? DIOD YOU EVER actually feel as though they gave even the simplest of respect or honesty to you..They have sucked since the 80's , got worse during the 90's and now are starting to feel the pinch and STILL pulling their BS..I had come within signing the papers b/f I got sick of no prices on bikes or accessories, varying prices , statements like JUST BUY THIS AND THAT YEAH CAN'T WAIT TO SPEND ANOTHER THOUSAND BUCKS ON A 22K BIKE , lies about what they would contribute.etc...harley agreed to supply a seating setup and at the last moment only would pay for A DRIVERS seat.THEY WOULD HAVE MADE EVEN MORE MONEY WITH THAT ARRANGEMENT AS THEY WERE USING LIST OPRICES FOR ME TO PAY FOR MATERILS AND LABOR!!

Yeah, me *** !!!.there were 3 opportunities to clarify the agreement PRIOR to jumping thru all the hoops of even giving 4 references who they can bother ..HARLY SUCK and I will NEVER buy new and be held hostage by these idiots ever again..If I buy one I will buy used and buy on the internet.PERIOD...HARLEY ***, did I mention that??

Hope they all go out of business as if any business model deserves to THEY DO!! 2 pissed off consumer

American HD, Brighton HD and Monroe Power Sports are now owned by the same people who are dix. Duh-Duh-Duh Doosh-Bags.

Pal of mine took them to small claims court and got back about $2500 for denying coverage of an extended warranty American HD sold him.

I haven't done business with them in years and no one I know does either.

Don't worry, cuz the way they try to treat customers, they'll be out of business soon.

Duh-Duh Doosh-bags.

Harley Davidson 2009 Dyna Street Bob pull to left

Last year I received a call from a local HD dealer. They wanted me to trade my 2007 Nightster for any other bike and they will give me credit for the msrp of it towards the new bike. Stupid me I felt for it.

I got a 2009 Street Bob. From the moment I test drove the bike I notice that It would pull to the left. Before paying for the bike I informed the sales manager that the bike would pull to the left. He assure me that it needed just minor adjustments and it would be taking care of. Its been a year, five times in the shop and two dealers later and the bike still pulls to the left. I already heard all the excuses you can imagine which it would insult anyone's intelligence.

This is a very delicate issue since it potentially can cause an accident and jeopardizes the life of the motorcyclist.

If you have same experiences of harley davidsons motorcycles drifting to the left or right purchased in the last 2 years (with the new twin cam 96 engine and new transmission) write me at munonum@***.com

I like to hear from you.

Why don't you add wind drag on the right side. A chrome pinwheel perhaps. Brahma

Guest

Get the tools and a service book and fix it yourself. I did, it's the linkage on top of the engine.

Follow the book instructions and 90% of the lean out the first adjustment. Needed 3.5 turns of the linkage 'in' to move the top of the engine to the right.

Does this seem to be the case for all or most of the 09' SB left lean problems Its just the linkage on top?

Guest

Same here w/my '09 Street Bob, back and forth with the dealer from day one, contacted a second dealer (same company owner) and they told me the frame was bent. HD sent a frame (supposedly) and I drove it 75 miles back cussin' the whole way cuz it road exactly the same, hard pull to left.

Took it to a private garage for my pinging issue I also had and they said "do you also have a tracking problem?" Got the HD dealer to look at it one more time, the area rep said it's "a perfect representation of a SB". So HD closed my case, so now I don't trust any of them.

Should've bought a BMW I suppose. Going to fix it myself and continue to spread the word, HD has lost it quality edge again.

Guest

2009 street bob is in the shop for it's 3rd leak???? 500 miles

Guest

What dealership did you purchase your Street Bob at? Pulling to the left is usually the result of improperly adjust fallaway and/or powertrain-chassis alignment.

I got a little behind on my Harley payment while in Afghanistan. Well, after many many phone calls back and forth from overseas via phone from US I got it straightened out sent them over a Thousand dollars and got back on track. I received a call from a *** by the name of SHERRY who said...I'm six days past my due date...this just happened matter of fact I have not received a Harley statement , nor any info on the money I sent. She was a ***, rude, and would not tell me any info so I could register a formal complaint against her...I am going to the BBB. Just thought I would sound off. I have a bank account set up specifically for my harley payments...I received no warning that Harley did not take out my payment, they waited until I had 2 days to hustle well over a thousand dollars. My bank said nothing in the states and I had NO IDEA what was going on until I was rudely threatened by HD FS. Well, after I got everything straightened out, paid all the back money this *** calls me and was rude, inconsiderate, would not tell me her operator ID nor would she let me speak with someone above her to file a complaint. This is just 4 days after I paid in full any and all past due money to HD. My point is Harley Financial services want to take all your money, steal your MC, and tell you to get ***. Good luck to them because my bike which is 3/4 paid off is in Afghanistan and I do not think they can get it when I have it guarded by 2 afghannies. Be very careful of Harley and their new "screw the customer techniques" Thanks for letting me vent..If anyone knows how I can register a formal complaint against this lady let me know.

no one ask for your opinion.you probably work for a collection agency. This is a "pissed off" bbs and unless you are pissed off at me then keep your opinions about me out of your small mind.

How

I feel about ruthless liars is what I stated and by the way HD as a company sucks too.

Guest

Psyops70: Was this your first time ever dealing with a bill collector?

It should be pointed out also that H-D Motor Company & H-D Financial Services are two different entities, however related. This complaint regards the latter, not the former. Complaining about "Harley-Davidson", period, is too vague to be useful.

Buddyabe: The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 1978 prohibits "causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation *repeatedly* or continuously with the intent to annoy, abuse or harass". On how many, if any, of those 5 calls from HD Credit did you actually speak to the caller? Were they 5 conversations or just 4 call *attempts* before they reached you, i.e., no answers or messages left before they spoke with you?

Guest

Harley Davidson credit doesn't care about customers, they call 5 times a day even after you have made arrangements to make a late payment.

I will never use them again, I will also tell others not to use them.

P.S.

Their fee's to pay over the phone or on line are outrageous also!

HARLEY DAVIDSONS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have a 2008 Harley Davidson Rocker C and the rear wheel started to pitt because of the metallic brake pad particles embedding into the wheel. They are replacing the wheel so I said to them that they need to put on NON-METALLIC brake pads so that this does not happen again. Harley does not make non-metallic brake pads or any other aftermarket company for my model so when I get the new wheel put on this whole problem is going to happen again. So, when my 2 year warranty is up I am going to be stuck with the bill next time the wheel needs to be replaced. I tried to explain this to a "customer service representative" who told me to clean the wheel, theres nothing they can do. Great. Lots of help. After trying to explain to this woman why that would not work we got nowhere. At that point i was fed up with her attitude and asked to speak to a manager. apparently there are no supervisors or managers at harley davidson. This is how Harley davidson treats their customers they want you to buy and buy and buy their products but when theres something wrong there is nothing they can do for you. This is the 3rd bike i've bought from them and the last. the bikes look nice and are great but god forbid you have something go wrong, you are screwed.

My issue started with my 2008 Running WAY TO HOT!! I asked the dealer to tune it leaner and they told me Harley states run them lean..

I was in altitude so that means EVEN leaner.. SO I had to have the engine replace at 24K (yes in a year, I ride and this bike cant handle it)When they replaced the engine for me Outpost bumped it to a 103 at my request and then more problems like a kick back (hard start) began

....I just met with the Owner of Outpost Harley davidson in Pueblo, Colorado tonight at 4:32pm to try and work out a warranty issue. Instead he said " I burned bridges up and down the front range" and then his son "THE EROGANT ONE" said I burned bridges at places I did not even have services ator buy parts. Nice analogy jay. I third the vote once again I cite preventitive maintinence.

Cleanliness is next to godliness. Keep her clean and she'll stay mean. Like grandpappy used to say if you can't take care of what ya got then you don't deserve it. So in conclusion, spray her down after a ride.

Or powdercoat the wheels. Good luck bro

Guest

Must agree with phil. In order to keep anything in good shape you must take care of it.

cleaning is a must when it come to many things.

Yes brake dust can ruin the wheel as can salt water from the ocean and swimming pool chmicals stored in the garage next to the bike. Your Harley is like a gun, to keep it from jamming you have to clean it after you shoot it.

Guest

Sorry about your problem, however all bikes need some maint after riding. Can't just put them back in the garage "wet" and expect everything OK next time you go out.

I've had the same problem with several bikes and also car/truck wheels. Brake dust is a big problem and no easy answers.

Keep them clean and protected! Good luck, Phil

Harley Collections *** Named Sherry

After Harley screwed up and did not take the payment from my bank account I specifically set up for them while I was in Afghanistan they tried to repo my bike. Well After a lot of *** talking to them I sent the money to stop repo and got back on track. Meanwhile Harley NEVER sent me a statement, told me anything until it was 2 days before they were to repo it.good luck to them because I have it stored in Afghanistan. I set up a stateside PO Box for them to send my bill, gave them 2 email addresses and skype phone numbers. Within a week I get a call from this snotty *** asking and telling me I'm 6 days past due and she spent most of her time *** me out. I told her to get *** and now I'm writing a letter to Consumer Affairs in the Fed Gov and by God I am doing everything I can do to make sure she is FIRED. Her name is Sherry..she would not give me an extension number, caller / operator number nor any way in which I may really know if she even works for Harley except maybe sucking ***. If any one knows how I may find her supervisor or "boss" please let me know. I spent a lot of money on that 03 wideglide and now that its down to owing a couple thousand dollars they are relentless in their way of harrasement. Cool....thanks for letting me vent Psyops70

Harley Davidson Dallas Bad Experience

I recently had a really *** poor experience with Harley Davidson in Dallas/Garland. Essentially, the sale rep did not include a parts accessory sheet which was included in the deal breaking out the parts from the labor. I walked out pissed because I appeared as though the sales guy backed in labor in the same amount as the accessories. I put the parts on myself as the parts guy told me it a cakewalk (which it was). Long story short, I call the sales guy a week prior to taking the bike in and he indicates that he can get the 1000 mile service expense credited against the labor. $321 later, I walk in and he's out sick, the senior service manager said he was not aware of it at all. Nobody bothered to call me back. How difficult is it to pull a deal sheet and match it against a work order to confirm the work was never done? Finally I asked for the GM who was friendly but essentially unhelpful. I spent a lot of money for this bike and its the typical forget about the customer after the sale is done. I've bought parts and accessories and have even referred people to this store. Well that chit is about to end. I will never walk into this store again, and I'm not sure I'll ever buy another new Harley because of this experience. Their service department is empty and and its probably in part because the mechanic(s), are working side deals out of their garages with Harley's customers (I had one call me wanting to make me a deal on some pipes). Their sales department tells me its slow - gee, I can't imaging why. Up until this point, the experience was exceptional. Funny how the tables turn when they have your money and then have to make good on a promise that might cost less than 1% of the total cost of the bike. As you know, a Harley is a luxury item to most and in a recession with high unemployment, you would think these guys would have their best game on. Well, I guess I'm just not important enough to them. Buyer beware of these guys.

good shops

I agree 100% the attitude I get from harley dealers makes me sick.

They are all the same they act like it's a privilege to know them,

what is that? I have 4 harley currently looking for a 5th. I have to consider another brand maybe victory or indian would be a better way to go. I'm tired of being treated like an *** doesn't harley understand that this is the information age. How's that stock doing

2009 Harley Davidson Warranty ???

I recently took my 2009 Harley Davidson Road King to my local dealer for the 10,000 mile service. I supplied all the oil and filters and the dealer quoted me a satisfactory price to perform the inspection. When I picked up the bike, they told me there was an additional hour labor because the steering head bearings were loose and that was not covered in the warranty. I checked my service manual and the first time it is due to be checked is at 25,000 miles. Again, I questioned the service manager and reminded him that this was a motorcycle that was not a year old yet. He stated that Harley Davidson normally gave them 3.5 hours to perform the 10,000 mile inspection but had reduced this to 2.5 hours and anything over that was to be billed back to the customer. I called Harley Davidson customer service in Milwaukee and the lady told me it was my problem to take care of and it was not part of the warranty. I then asked to speak to her boss and she told me it was her decision to make and there was not one else to speak to. This is my 10th and LAST Harley Davidson. Thru the years with my other bikes I experienced similar attitudes with both Harley Davidson and some of there dealers. There attitude is take it or leave it if you don't like it. If one takes the time to look at the bikes available today at half the price and more dependable, my vision is crystal clear and it doesn't include Harley Davidson motor company.

Hey Jay,

I purchased a Sportster Low model and at 5000 or so miles, right side engine case cracked top side at VIN tag and leaked. I had paid in full for the 5 year extended service plan, dealer told me they would not cover it without written confirmation from Harley Davidson, they could care less about the 5 year coverage plan that that dealer sold me. At that point I was requested to sign a repair ticket and provide a Credit Card to cover any non warrantied items not covered by HD. Then the shop manager returned with my car stating I had only $650 or so left on my card, and he assured me their cost to support that plan would clear $1000 plus what he said HD might no cover.

Bike sat 20 months while we argued. Had a non HD shop pull the engine and repair it, outta pocket. HD Credit accelerated the note and added 20% intrest on remaing balance.

What a rip by Hardley Davidson.

Sonny

Guest

Same exact thing happen to me on my 08 RK. took it in for a 10k.

complained about a wobble same steering head bearing issue.

same charge for an hr labor same argument about the 25k inspection. no satisfaction and had to pay 95.00 extra to get bike back!

Guest

I took my 2009 Road King Classic in for her 10,000 mile service. The Harbour city Harley Davidson dealer picked up the bike from my home, made repairs (including changing the synthetic oil), replaced leaking clutch seal and the cap that had been damaged by this, detailed the bike and delivered back to my home.

This was all covered by warrantee.

I researched which dealer had the best reputation and history before purchasing the bike. I think that if you are just now realizing you dont like the people at the dealer or have a hard time dealing with them, then perhaps that was the wrong dealer to purchase from, not that the bike was not worth getting.

Guest

Didnt you have the HD extended service plan?

Guest

Same problem here in Cape Town, the only two dealers shift blame between themselves and the customer services guy does not respond to your complaint, yet he services not only Africa. All you hear is that you are the only one complaining. Bad service for an expensive product, no wonder there are so many BMW's on the road?!?

Okay... All name calling aside, jay is actually right on this one.

And honda, suzuki and yamaha would agree. I have spent many hours studying warranty claims and Harley coverage. The book states adjust because Harley states adjustment is imminent. Other services state check fall away to determine if premature adjustment is needed.

It's not warrantable. As aren't filters, spark plugs, tires, and fuel. My air filter clogged early on my truck but I am not bashing my local ford dealer or the motor company. See, you gotta understand that certain things effect wear and tear.

Where do you ride? Hit any pot holes? Done a 1k or 5k? Do you Tralee your bike?

And to what extent do you strap the front? These things effect reliability and life of your scoot. My opinion is, scream warranty on any complaint. If the dealer says no dice, saddle up, put the wind at your back, and thank god you don't own a shovelhead or earlier.

Lord knows if ya can't *** it on a 2 wheel cadillac, then you would never make it on motorcycle from an era that meant riders had to be able to wrench and understand what HD was about. Oil leaks and spitting gas.

Guest

Nice, you should write poetry. Sounds to me like your one of those gays.

:grin dude seriously, my advice, trade your $h1t in and buy something else. I know a few places that sell little 125 scooters that I'm sure you'll be pleased on. They're automatic, and probably get better gas mileage. Oh, and you'll never have to worry about the steering head bearings.

Only major decision, pink or neon green 7" rims. WORD!

It seems that Republic HD is trying to cut away from many of the customer complaints by claiming they dont have the facts... Well... here are the facts:

On 4-2-2012 I had an agreed sales price on a used 2012 Electra Glide Classic with the on-line sales guy, John Padgett. He told me to go to the website to arrange for financing which I did, but the people that they have for their financing have a security certificate that is not trusted, so there was no way I was entering all of my personal information into it. I went to my bank and arranged the financing.

On 04-05-2012, I called back to inform Mr. Padgett that I had financing and wanted to complete the deal, but it was his day off. I ended up talking to the sales manager instead, his name is Phil Cornell. I informed Mr. Cornell that I wanted to wrap the deal up and asked him to send me the final numbers so my bank could cut the check. I was assured he would get it "right over to me". After calling the dealership four times over a span of five hours, Mr. Cornell finally got me the numbers... The full price numbers.

I called him back again to advise him of the deal that I had worked out with Mr. Padgett, and he informed me that he could "find no paperwork" on my deal. He then called Mr. Padgett to confirm our deal. Long story short... these guys reneged on the deal that I had made with them, and it went so far as to accuse me of lying about the deal. Mr. Padgett called me on his day off and actually had the gaul to try and convince me that I had agreed to the full price listed on the website.

Moral of the Story, if you are considering buying via the web, the GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. These guys will work with you right up to the point of finalizing the deal and then change it up entirely. This situation went all the way to their GM (or so I am told) and their decision was to stick it to a potential customer willing to spend 16,000 on a bike rather than work the deal that their salesman worked with me.

PS. I ended up buying a brand new 2012 Electra from Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson in Spokane, Washington the same day. I highly recommend them if you are looking for above board, honest dealings.

Now... try and refute anything that is written here. I can't vouch for the stories above, but any of your rantings in reference to this little story is just an attempt to clear your dishonest and crooked business dealings.

I bought a new FXD there and twisted their arm to throw in a $500 store credit. The bike had a factory alarm, which was written on a 'deal sheet' the sales rep scrawled out.

When I came to pick the bike up a day or two later, they switched bikes on me for one without an alarm. I showed him his 'deal sheet', and he went to talk to his boss about it. When he came back he'd re-written the deal sheet to not include the alarm. I was worn down by this point as it took hours to do this deal, and then it was almost a battle of wits to get the guy to give me some sort of written store credit - he kept disappearing on me and I think he was hiding from me.

After the papers for the bike were signed, he became difficult to talk with. In fact all the staff seemed to shun me as soon as the deal was done. Or rather, I was done by them. Trying to get adjustments made after the sale was very difficult too.

I feel ashamed that I spent money there, and it makes my blood boil now that I did business with those scoundrels. I will, and have, ridden to Cajun HD in Louisiana for service and parts rather than go back to Republic. Now I'm in the market for a new Fat Boy, guess where I'm NOT going? Republic HD, you can kiss my cA$$h goodbye.

Losers. Shop around before you decide to do business with those turds.

Republic Harley Davidson's employees are overworked and underpaid. This affects the customer in that the employees posses a "i don't care" attitude.

Ask any of the technicians (Steve/Paul/Josh/Ken/Rob/Jacob/John/Reb/Chris/Ron) in the service department and they will all express how disposable they are in the management's eyes. I would never get my motorcycle serviced there due to mechanic's doing shoddy work.

Watch thru the service window and you will see how unhappy the service department is. Not a fun or fulfilling place to work at all.

I have purchased a 2009 Fat Bob from this dealership and the sale was fine... but

I've had three contacts with service and I've been irritated and disappointed by their failures each and every time.

They take forever to perform simple tasks, they do not return phone calls the work is generally not done correctly the first time.

Those are very simple and valid expectations and this dealership does not perform.

I highly recommend NOT going to this dealer for service.

Guest

how many dealerships would even bother with a response on here, unless they are worried, or feel guilty??

Must be special to be wasting your time.

Guest

I have only positive things to say about Republic. I recently purchased a new Harley Fourty-Eight that is still in shop having some add ons done.

Derek the salesman I worked with I thought did an excellent job, Jeff, Kevin, Walter, Adam and everyone there were super helpful. There was no pressure to buy anything and they answered any question I had and made the whole experience as good as it could be. They have called me with updates on scheduled completion on my bike without me having to be the one calling. This means alot to me.

When they initially got my part number wrong on my aftermarket exhaust and when I made them aware of it they corrected it and gave me the more expensive exhaust at no additional charge. Great bunc of guys and I hope to have a lasting relationship with Republic.

08 Ultra Classic anniversary edition

I purchased a Lemon, I mean a Harley ultra classic From Pikes Peak Harley that has had more problems then any bike I've ever owned. Thing is, nothing is getting done and can't find a harley dealership near colorado springs that is worth darn, thought Outpost was good, Tommy the mechanic is great!! but the service manager and owners son who runs the shop, arrogant and don't know how to do business, I would not recommend them to anyone. To bad Russ Sr used to run Outpost Great and was one that would talk with you and ask what is up. Now if they can't fix it they will lie to you, let your bike sit there and say they don't want to work on it!!

Harleyfan, I'm not sure if you actually read my post. I've know the Saputo's for 9 years, so I sat in the office to talk with Sr about the situation and instead listned to them bash me on fabrications and accusations.

If you noticed in my post, I mentioned that 1) I had called and talked to Mike at Outpost the day I was looking and they did not have the bike in stock, and 2) they would not take my bike in as a trade if they had it. So is that my fault for not buying from them? (You even said you would look around) I know mike will deny this since his job probably would rely on it however I was looking for an anniv edition and because they did not have it called everyshop in CO other then where I bought it and then called them last. My wife assisted in this.

Also the other bike that was bought in Wisc, I was there, what good would it have done calling when I needed it in Wisconsin, would they ship it to me? Maybe for more then I payed (No shipping no handling and other breaks). At $95 per hour I'm sure they are making something on service. Instead of talking with me and trying to work this out I was bad mouthed lied about and sat there and listened to them claiming I had bad mouthed them prior to this incident, however I have many people that could disprove that.

I was very proud and elated with what they achieved building my engine. The told me that and many people, instead they told me i had never sent people there, (or one guy they admitted I did they only made $300 off) again I can dissprove this. However it would not be worth my time to do this for a Business that was more than willing to fabricate issues with no factual proof. Claiming bridges were burned at shops I never went to or at atnother that the reason I never went back was because I left for IRAQ and when I returned that shop was closed.

Timelines and witnesses all would verify this however I don't feel the obligation to do this. I went there to work out an issue not to be bad mouthed with lies and accusations that were false. I also feel you are from outpost because your original post is some of the exact comments made in the office that night. If you aren't great, and good luck in finding the Harley of your dreams from where ever you find it.

Have a Merry Christmas, I know I will.

p.s if I missed spelled something, oh well, I don't have time to worry about that.

Guest

No guys I owned another successful auto business in Pueblo for 25 years, and I have never owned an HD before, I am going to purchase one this winter with the extra time I will have since retiring. I know of the Saputo family, but dont know them personally, but I can tell you that they donate more time and money to the local charities, biker clubs, and local families then any other business in Pueblo.

They have a great reputation for customer service, all of my old customers visit there weekly, and buy all their bikes and parts from them as well, I guess as a fellow business owner I can say that you cant make everyone happy, so just focus on the good ones, and let the bad ones go by the wayside. These are Multi Multi Multi, million dollar business's that have not gotten where they are today by screwing over the little guys like us. I will go there to look at my new bike, and I will certainly report back on my visit. As far as the comment about visiting to buy trinkets, what i meant was that you should buy the bike in the town you live in, thats where the dealers make all their money, the parts and clothes and service are such a small part of the business, they need vehicle sales to survive.

I also believe that if I do find a better deal elsewhere, and the local dealer her wont at least match it, then I would have no choice as a smart consumer to go out of town.

I would at least have the courtesy to approach the owner and ask though. Good luck to all of you and merry christmas

Guest

Harleyfan are you serious? With all the legitimate concerns jpbro74 has listed, you just want to focus on the spelling?

There’s no “hurt feelings” in that post. Those are real complaints neither Outpost HD nor HD Corporate cares to address. Stop trying to redirect focus from the *** service to spelling. Obviously you are associated with Outpost HD in some way.

Why would anyone take the time to enter that post if they were just a “Harley Fan”? I find it shocking and arrogant any business in this economy, especially a motorcycle dealership, would deny anyone’s money. Your statement “Buy local, keep your money where you live, be loyal, and your dealership will kiss your butt” is absurd. So money from Colorado Springs is no good in Pueblo?

You may be the only business in Pueblo that feels this way. I can tell you dealerships in Colorado Springs and Denver will gladly accept money from Pueblo, Trinidad, Florence, or any other community. As a matter of fact, you just redirected my money to Colorado Springs. I’ve never heard of any dealership of any kind completing service work as a “courtesy to their customers”.

That paradigm is obviously the problem. Doesn’t HD pay you for warranty work? I’ve always had to pay for service work on any vehicle I’ve had. No dealership has ever done it for free as a “courtesy” to me.

Even the dealerships I bought the vehicle from. So good luck with the tourist T-shirt sales and HD jackets.

Guest

Texman sounds like you hit the nail on the head. I read these posts and it seems that Harleyfan is the dealership being talked about.

Funning thing is they talk about intelligence levels and then his post admits what the JP74 post said about them not wanting to work on his bike because he bought it somewhere else. His quote "Buy local, keep your money where you live, be loyal".(By the way I never had a dealer kiss my butt either)I did learn that I should not stop at Outpost when traveling because according to Harleyfan I should keep my money in AZ where I'm from. Who needs dealers like this? Harleyfan I think your post was acutally an insult to all!!

Maybe you should have been an english teacher since u wnt 2 correct spelling.

Are you the erogant-arrogant one since you know how to spell it? LOL AZ Rocks !!!

Guest

HarleyFan, you sound like a dealer not someone shopping for a bike. I find these forums funny at times, *** other times.

The thing is, someone is telling the truth out there.

As defensive you started your post it really makes it seem your the dealer that was being complained about. I've only purchased 1 harley at a dealer in Texas and I will tell you that there was no butt kissing from the dealer, either you wanted to buy it or you didn't they did not care.

Guest

These forums really show you the intelligence level of those who post on them!!! Nice spelling guys!!!!

I thought this would be informative before my purchase but all you people do is complain about your hurt feelings!!! Do you not understand that these dealerships dont need your service business, they do it as a courtesy to their customers.

Buy local, keep your money where you live, be loyal, and your dealership will kiss your butt!!! Arrogant is spelled with an A and Florence with an E fellas.

Jay P Zaf

Even though I bought 2 others (alot less expensive but still bought there) and have sent many people there but as they mentioned about one friend who is DEAD now " we only made $300 on him because we just financed a bike he bought somewhere else"....WOW I know it takes money coming in to keep things going but WOW what a response...

END OF STORY BAD BUSINESS BAD COMPANY

Guest

i've noticed that to. They used to be very personable, fun to be around and go to the Outpost open house.

I had my bike worked on and when I picked it up and headed home, I had to go right back because of a front end Shimmy. No QC, the manager is not doing his job.

Plus he thinks everyone is his buddy.

It's time to hit the aftermarket shops not the HD deealers anymore, I go to a guy in Florance now

Harrasement on bike loan

I have had 3 loans with H-D Credit, never had a problem until this last loan. Never been late on payment until was not working due to disability caused reduced income. Began with 1 day late on payment I received 4 calls the day after the payment was due. The last time was today 9/23/09. I was called 9/20/09 (payment due 9/15/09) - I told the representive that the payment had been mailed 9/17/09, the amount due was paid and verified address, phone #, etc. Today I receive yet another call asking when payment will be mailed. I asked for a manager ( as I have done numerous times before) the rep (Christine) continually over talked me and refused to acknowledge my request. After several requests she finally gave me to Frank who said was a manager. Frank gave me the usual apoligies about the call, talked down to me as if I were nothing. He again asked me for payment arrangement, I explained that had given on 9/20/09 (A Sunday) he said will note. I asked why not noted from last call., just said not enough information given. This coninues to be aproblem. I will never deal with Harley Davidson in any maner from this time.

I know that this sort of thing happens more often than not. It isn't just Harley financing, its all finance companies.

With increased rates, decreased wages and America's inability, due to ego, to compete properly in a Global market, finance companies see financing as a favor to you and not a mutually beneficial arrangement. This is a plaque that is affecting our country.

With the national debt at an all time high, the defecit increasing and our gross national product dwindling, hold on my brothers, it is only going to get worse. Love the bike...hate the company.

Ride hard die free.

Guest

I don't even know what to do with HD Financial anymore. I got 2 mos.

behind on my m/c payments and asked that the payments be put at the end of the loan. So far, that has not been done! The payments have been made continually since then however the phone calls never stop! 7 days a week they call!

Just received a statement showing that they took my Dec.'09 payment and credited $13.00 to principal and $168.00 to interest. Jan.'10 payment was $106.00 principal and $76.00 interest. Who does their accounting? I have been paying for this bike for over 3 yrs.

and I still owe what I paid for the bike! How is this possible? This company is a rip off!

No better than loan sharks in my book. Oh, they also send a repo man to get the bike - he didn't get it!

Guest

I feel your pain ! Harley Financial has been to me on the *** of being harrassing.

We make the payment and they still call. They call on Sunday and have called me at work after we repeatedly asked them to remove my work number. I love my motorcycle and it is not my first Harley but the attitude and actions of Harley Financial have taken all the joy out of owning a Harley.

I have decided to sell my motorcycle and will never do business with Harley again. So, if anybody is in the market for a 2009 Street Glide...I have one for you.

Attitude in parts dept.

I recently ordered parts from the Harly Davidson dealer on Baily ave. in buffalo ny- The A.. who was helping me had such a attitude and gave me a feeling of never walking into another Harly dealership again. The day I ordered my parts I was told it would take a few days- after 4 days I called and to my dismay this A.. Ted gave me such a attitude it really made me uncomfortable. At the end of the conversation I said thankyou and his response "yeah right" and hung up on me. Again I awaited a few more days and low and behold A.. answered again, this time this is how he answered and answered the phone-"WHO IS THIS" I told him my name, his response"DID I CALL YOU"- I was so flustered at how he treated me as a customer I told him he was a A.. and he should not be in customer service, I also asked him how he can he talk to customers that way- real winner he was. The other 2 gentlemen Ispoke with in parts Jim and Paul were respectfull and very helpful with my questions, but this ted was a total dipsh. I here alot of complaints regarding this location from other customers who had similiar experiences, so bad that they drive all the way to Batavia NY to get service. Since this was my first Harly Davidson experience it left for a bad taste in my mouth.

2011 FLTRX with 7000 kms.steering wobble at 60 to 70 kms.

Steering head adjustment not covered under warranty as it is not defective part or workmanship .

how come it needs adjusting at 7000 kms.if it is not defective workmanship ?

SAd that this happens.

Guest

Really.... We blame this on tats?

How about maybe he has no people skills. Standard practice from Harley is that you will be called when your parts arrive. Some people call everyday. This could be annoying.

Maybe you should ask for the other parts personell. Sorry they were rude. I have never been there. As for the guy who bashes tats, people make mistakes.

How are any tats relevent to this complaint. I made a mistake by getting some tats. Everyone makes mistakes and sounds to me your mistake was ever buying a Harley. Or maybe that was the dealers mistake for selling ro you.

Get a can am JWT you yuppie. As for the original complaint, good luck with your future HD experiences

Guest

Yeah many of the guys with the tat's look cool but they have poor customer service skills.

One of them just questioned me about HD's own instructions.

Don't get *** w/ me punk!

Harley Davidson is not being loyal to one of its followers

I have been a proud Harley owner for 5 years. I've had two used harleys. Finally saved up and purchased my first new harley Dyna 42 days ago. Only 570 miles on the bike. Three weeks after I purchased, they came out with exactly what I have wanted (softail)but had never been offered in their new lineup. I went to trade up for a soft tail and figured it would be fair to pay the differaence between the msrps on the bike simmilar to the deal going on with the sporsters now. They stated my bike is now used and the value is not there. What should be a 1,330 dollar tradeup is now a 3,500 - 4,500 difference. Is this fair? Especially being our glorious Harley! I dont want my happiness with Harley tarnished, but by God if the sportsters hold their same value for a year as Harley states, then my Dyna at only 42 days and 570 miles should also. Any help to be offered is appreciaed?

Sometime you don't get what you want right away. You learn and pay as you go.

Pay and learn a little more and you will get what you want. Then ride happy.

Brahma

Guest

Also the sportster ride free guarantee was a factory backed promotion where they helped the dealers out. It was designed to get weary sportster owners on big twins.

Not a big twin to big twin trade up. That would be a standard trade in. As you don't want to lose money, neither does the initiating dealer. This isn't a charity.

It's a business. Good luck

Guest

Jay you are correct. We are forgetting one thing...

You want msrp on trade. For starters there are applicable taxes and fees. Also, do you think the dealer gave msrp? This is a business.

Sounds to me like your pissed because you bought the wrong bike. That's not harleys fault. Do proper product research next time.

And don't be mad at the dealer for not wanting to lose money. Good luck

Guest

Bike can only be sold as new when there are less than 250 miles on the bike.

Guest

My opinion is the same and I feel we are numbered in the hundreds of thousands nationwide. Harley talks about "the Harley Family" until you want to trade up, then the *** begins!

Every time I have tried to purchase a new harley I'm offended at the level of integrity. I personally will never by a harley from a dealer again. I own four harleys spend over 5k on parts and service annually.

And still I get offered half of trade value from every dealer in NC. Now I get it..that's why people buy Honda's.

Guest

I would first like to say congrats on your new Harley but as with any vehicle you as soon as you leave the lot with it it will depriciate because they can not sell a that bike to say me for new price when it is not new because you all ready have your name on the title so it already has 1 buyer then if they would try to sell that to me as a new bike that is lying to me and a huge lawsuit. Do you understand it a little better now!

I no sometimes it is a crock of *** but we have to suck it up and move on my sugestion to you do not buy anything until you are completly 4 sure that is the one you want no matter how pushy they are get on set ask to drive it in the lot then go home and think it over!!! :cry
