Harley Davidson - 2005 Dyna Wide Glide Fxdwgi Review from Stillwater, Minnesota
Purchased my 2005 Dyna Wide Glide brand new. At 7,000 miles I noticed a slight vibration.
Went to the dealership and they suggested I needed to replace the front tire ($300.00) or I could have a motor mount problem. They replaced the tire but I still had vibration. At 11,000 miles the vibration got worse. To the dealership I went.
They said it was a motor mount our rims needed to be trued. $300.00 later after following their suggestions I still had the vibration problem . Now at 27,000 miles the vibration is so bad it feels like you are going down a railroad track at 60 mph. Back to the dealership I go.
They charged me $600.00 to tell me that my flywheel had shifted and I need a cam. So needless to say I need to get the motor rebuild at a cost of $5,000. This bike has been properly maintained per harley repair manual, stored inside my house since new and never ridden hard. I contacted Harley Davidson Corporation and their response was that their is nothing they can do.
I guess I will have to find a place on my mantle for an $18,000 paper weight. Not a real fan of Harley Davidson any more.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
Location: Stillwater, Minnesota

That's an old Harley and not worth fixing. Part it out and buy a new one
Bet your still wearing Harley T shirts
Good thing you brought the T shirt issue. I don't support them any longer by wearing one.
As a rider that has ridden for 30+ yrs and different makes of bikes.
Harley should at least stand behind their product when there are plenty of other riders that had the same problem with their bikes. Just saying...
Thanks brother I needed that.
